Entertainment Media history & background

Entertainment Media is a full-service film & video production company based in South Melbourne, Australia. While we specialise in corporate videos (training videos, sales videos, conference openers etc. etc.) we can help you with any type of film or video project.

Many people in the industry remember us by our former name, “The Film House”, and the company's foundations stretch back to 1967 when Fred Schepisi opened “The Film House” in George St, Fitzroy. Entertainment Media is now fully owned and managed by Robert Le Tet.

Entertainment Media is the only production company in Australia to have produced multiple feature films, television dramas and documentaries, countless award-winning TVCs, corporate and sales videos, as well as post-producing Hollywood feature films.

From the original foundations laid by internationally acclaimed film director Fred Schepisi, Entertainment Media has grown to be Australia's principal film production company - launching products and services that have gone on to become household names, and gathering many international awards in the process.

Entertainment Media not only owns a full range of broadcast equipment and facilities, it also owns the buildings and South Melbourne location which it has occupied since 1978. On-site facilities include a ProTools sound studio, and a video editing suite with motion graphics design.
